Confirmed: the Tour de France races through Lancashire in 2027
Stage 2 of the 2027 Tour de France will run roughly 80 miles through Lancashire on Saturday 3 July 2027, on its way from Keswick to a waterfront finish in Liverpool.

What is still to be announced
Most of what people want to know about race day has not been published yet. These are the announcements that are genuinely outstanding, and who makes each one.
The road book
- The lane-level route, rather than the corridor of towns confirmed in January 2026
- The four categorised climbs beyond the Côte de Jubilee Tower, and their categories
- The intermediate sprint location the county council has referred to
- Estimated times at each point on the stage
Race day on the ground
- Road closures: which roads, from when, and when they reopen
- Official fan zones, big screens and accessible viewing areas
- Parking, park-and-ride and any extra rail capacity
- Guidance for residents and businesses on the route
Until each of those lands, this site publishes what has actually been said and marks the rest as unconfirmed. If you find something here that has been overtaken by an official announcement, it is a mistake worth telling us about.
